• Handel’s Messiah Chorus
• Et in Terra Pax
• Silent Night (accapella)

SIP: 1.0–Singing alone and with others a varied repertoire.
8.0–Understanding relationships between music and the other arts and disciplines outside of the arts.
6th Grade Music
TSW:

• Complete the following warm-up: Tell the Who, What, When, Where and Why of a Song. Today’s song will be “It Was Early One Morning” by Lead Belly.
• Begin Lesson 7 (Bar Lines and Measures)
• Complete student assignment as classwork (homework if not finished in class)
• Learn the history of “Amazing Grace” by comparing and contrasting 2 different renditions.
• Read an article about the anthem and complete an open book quiz over the reading material

SIP: 5.0–Reading and notating music
