Practice all-west music and play for Miss Ward or Mr. Lane for your GMS honor band try-out (you can try out through the end of the grading period)
Practice Records due—90 minutes each week! DON’T FORGET!

General Music Extra Credit
For Miss Ward’s Classes ONLY!
You have 5 options:
* Go to a concert – bring the program to Ms. Ward with your name on it
* Research the history of you’re your favorite style in popular music (rock, R&B, hip hop, country, etc) – then write down the important facts you found – two or more pages.
* Write your own music – see Ms. Ward for some guidelines about length, etc.
* Be Creative – come up with your own idea for extra credit and get approval from Ms. Ward.
* Write a 2 page paper on your favorite singer or band. Include how they got started, what style they perform, characteristics of their sound, and why you like them.
Extra credit is due no later than 3:00 pm on Friday, March 2nd. NO work will be accepted after that time.
Any extra credit turned in will be graded and will take the place of your lowest music grade.
Extra credit should only be completed by YOU! If you need help, see Miss Ward only!
Extra credit is optional.
