25 Most Wanted Music CD’s Project
Project Description
In EXCEL, create a database of 25 music CD’s that you would purchase if money were no object. Obtain your information through Internet research. List all sites used in a WORD document entitled “Sites Used”. List them in alphabetical order.
In your database include the following fields:
∑ Artist
∑ Title
∑ Record Company
∑ List Price
∑ Best Price Found
∑ Genre (category-i.e. Rock, Country, R & B, etc)
∑ Release Date (if available-if not available type n/a in that field)
Create your database then sort it in ascending order by the Title. Print one copy to turn in.
Next assign a preference number (1 through 25) for the order in which you would purchase each CD. With (1) being the first purchase you would make and (25) being the last purchase you would make. Then sort your database in ascending preference order and print one copy to turn in.
Design a query to list all CD’s with a price of $16.99 or greater.
Save your query and print one copy to turn in.
Design a query to calculate the average (AVG) price of all the CD’s in your database.
Save your query and print one copy to turn in.
Using the report wizard design a tabular report which list the Title, Artist, Record Company, Genre, and Best Price Found in the same order (1 thru 25) from your preference sort. Save and print one copy in landscape orientation.
NOTE: Print all items in landscape orientation. Staple all printouts together and turn them in all at once.
