All-Southwest Junior High Honor Choir

Attention Choir Students!!!!  The following excerpt tell you exactly what you will be singing for the audition.  You should go ahead and highlight these parts in your music.  See me if you need help!  I’m here on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  I will come early or stay late if you let me know ahead of time!!!

Audition #1     How Can I Keep From Singing: The accompaniment will start on beat 1 of m. 42. Sopranos and altos will begin singing on the second half of beat 3 on m. 43. Basses and tenors will begin singing on beat 2 in m. 45. Sing until beat 3 in m. 59.
Agnus Dei:  The accompaniment will start on beat one in m. 17.  Sopranos and altos begin singing on beat 1 in m. 19.  Basses and tenors begin singing on beat 2 in m. 19.  Sing through m. 37.
Praise His Holy Name:  The accompaniment will start on m. 23. Altos begin singing on beat 4 in m. 26 and take the repeat.  Basses and tenors begin on beat 1 in m. 23. Sopranos begin on beat 2 in m. 23.  Sing mm. 23-26 one time, take the 3rd ending, and sing until the end of the piece without the repeat in m. 32.

Audition #2     Gloria:  The accompaniment will start on beat 1 in m. 15.  All parts begin singing on beat 1 in m. 17 and sing through beat 1 in m. 34.
Praise His Holy Name:  The accompaniment will start on m. 23. Altos begin singing on beat 4 in m. 26 and take the repeat.  Basses and tenors begin on beat 1 in m. 23. Sopranos begin on beat 2 in m. 23.  Sing mm. 23-26 one time, take the 3rd ending, and sing until the end of the piece without the repeat in m. 32.
Jubilate Deo:  The singer will hear the starting pitch and 6 clicks for tempo.  Basses and tenors begin singing on beat 1 in m. 33.  Sopranos and altos begin singing on beat 1 in m. 34.  Sing through m. 56.
